Lesley Chilcott

Lesley Chilcott’s multi-layered films often center on themes of social or environmental justice. Chilcott directed the documentary Watson (2019), an action- adventure film about Sea Shepherd founder Captain Paul Watson and also, in 2020, Chilcott directed the premium docuseries Helter Skelter: An American Myth for EPIX and Warner Television. Previously, Chilcott produced many feature documentaries among them the Academy Award-winning An Inconvenient Truth (2006) and Waiting for Superman (2010) for which she won Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Documentary by the PGA.  She lives in Los Angeles and Costa Rica.
